Thanks. I like it. Its the style i need, but I need to be under $200. $80 - $140 is about my budget on this.

I like the idea, the idea works.
But I'm trying to find something more mobile.
Suppose wurst comes to wurst. I'll just buy a unit with enough nuts, strip the cooling parts and install them on 'my box'. I taken enough refrigerators apart scrapping metal, I know how to make one. Just to be funny, mod a microwave, what! lol.
Thanks. -
They make some smaller ones that are less expensive. Have a look on amazon.

Agreed. I see enough bad reviews for that style cooler fridge it makes me trigger shy, hence why I'm here ...
Thanks for the review.Concorde Thanks this. -
It's looking like the reviews point to that. Was trying avoid using an inverter but I have one. This is about what I want, but inverterless.

We have an actual fridge built in in our truck. I've always used the plug in cooler like you bought. We still use one for additional cooling space. Never had any issues except for blown fuses once in awhile. But yea the plugs do get nice an hot.Rideandrepair Thanks this.

When I was a company driver I used them, but the average life span is around a year. I finally figured out to buy them at Walmart and get the 1 year extended warranty for a few bucks more. Save the original box and you can basically get a new fridge every year for free. Yes the DC plugs get very hot which usually result in the fuses blowing constantly, That's when you turn it in for a new one. It just sucks when they go out when they're full of food and you're not close to a Walmart.TimMKE77 and Rideandrepair Thank this.

An inverter, microwave and fridge should be basic equipment these days for OTR. Yes it cost a company money but to keep a driver out for weeks or more at a time they should do what they can to keep drivers comfortable.
It would reduce turn over.alds, 86scotty and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
I have the Freightliner replacement from truck fridge , Its a custom size but I bought it used on Craigslist from another driver for half the price new and its been going strong for 3 years . Its strong enough to freeze foods even in the non freezer portion , I have to crank it down or drinks turn to slushies .
Rideandrepair and Tug Toy Thank this.
