    Very interesting video from 35 years ago that is big time food for thought in the way of what is happening before our eyes. I’d be interested to hear your opinion Joe as you seem to have studied history extensively. And anyone else’s of course.

    If there’s not a giant spike in Covid-19 cases starting in about a week I wonder if those who locked themselves in their houses for 3 months will feel foolish or not.

    Anyways, back to the rates and availability on my lane, with the folks I usually work with, last week was definitely encouraging. My phone started ringing again too.

    Then the jobs report for May came out yesterday. Did you all see that? WOW! 2.5 million jobs added. Most of the experts were predicting another 800,000 jobs lost.

    A good friend of mine who does heavy haul, told me yesterday that he's been running lumber loads from Oregon into Washington. One of the Lowe's receiving managers told him on Thursday that supplies are flying off the shelves and that their store had ordered 9 million lbs of inventory over 2 weeks ago and that as of Thursday, they had only received 2.5 million lbs of it.

    These are definitely really good signs!

    I’ve been watching from the sidelines, but last week I was seeing posted rates between $2.10-$3.30 on 500ish miles. That puts me right back to the house.
