    Hello
I'm looking for someone to team with male or female no preference, I live in Oregon (medford area). I have a little over a year exp. driving team OTR with Interstate distributer. I now have not been driving for year and I am having problems finding company to take me on without 3 months recent experence. I was thinking an O/O might be willing to let me on there truck even if its only 3 months so that i can get a job.
A little about me: I have a perfect driving record, no tickets, accidents and no felonys. Im a safe driver. I am clean, love to cook and easy to get along with. I do smoke cigerettes. I'm not looking for a relationship. just a driving partner someone to get some miles in and get me back in a truck and a little company while on the road. Any help appreciated
    Thanks

Is there no O/O out here on this website that wants a teammate for a short time?

Mr. dance i'm glad you got a laugh out of my post everyone should laugh once in awhile ;)..... I tend to think my post was written just how I intended it to sound. Since i'm a good cook ... Cant stand bad food at truck stops so whoever i was driving with would enjoy good food since I tend to allway make more then I can eat...
As for stating no relationship I get pretty tired of all the emails and job offers from lonely guys wanting a girlfriend or looking for a friend W/bene's bunk bunny whatever. Not that I can blame them, its just not me. maybe I should just write in big bold letters Not interested in Men just driving partner
I just want someone to drive with no strings attached for a 3 months I guess that is just to much to ask for....

I understand your frustration. Trust me on that one, I've had a female co-driver in the past myself. She went through many drivers before she got to me.

You have to also understand, your looking for an elite driver. Either another female, or a single male who can keep his mind on his job, or a married man who's wife has no issues with her husband sharing a truck with another female.

And while that seems like a large pool to pull from, it is not. We're talking maybe 1 in 500 drivers fit the mold you seek.

    Good luck with your search.

I guess i was asking for a tall order. Maybe there is One Elite driver on this website. I can always hope right....
Now I see what my problem has been "No perfect guy for me".

Thanks.. I do think you are right, I have been looking for quite sometime with no luck... There does'nt seem like many trainers for women or atleast good ones.
1 in 500 chance Huh thats not good odds Let see if I can improve them by 1
Married guys: Your wives have no issues here. I have my own Girlfreind :biggrin_25526:
Do you know of any company that offer a refresher course?

I would think that most of the bigger carriers would have refresher courses. Schneider, SWIFT, JB, Werner...you get the idea.

You just doubled the amount of loser e-mail you'll be getting. :biggrin_25513:

As OneTime stated...many of the big companies offer a refresher.

Conway truckload utitlizes a 2 week refresher. They'll team you with one of their trainers, and you'll run team. Or at least they used to.

Then you have your name placed on a list for a team driver, if you desire. While you run solo.

Thanks I will check conway, I believe they have a yard about a hour away. I have already called all the big companys that I can think of including the ones stated above. They either dont hire from my area, or they require refresher and dont offer them. Or they have there own cdl school which if you already have a cdl you cant attend. :(
The only carrier i found was swift, they hire from oregon and didnt have a problem with my time off, They said I could go out with a trainer for a week or 2, but also said there is 30 people on waiting list keep checking back every week. I guess that is alot better then NO :)
I'm hoping they will go though them 30 people quick but in this economy who knows..
    thanks for your replys
