What kind of scams are going around truck stops?

Anyone that has a sign that says:

 

They do....

 

He was still there last monday. I guess someone should buy his CD's so he can get to Nashville....or Motown.

 

It might work. I saw a couple of signs that were just TOO MUCH a while ago. One said, "Please help, Too ugly to turn tricks". The other one said. " need money for weed, please give".

Group of 6 males around the game,1 male behind the trailer faceing the store as a look out. Confirmed to have small radio in hand.

 

well it's not just the bums you got watch out for ///// but some drivers have started doing the same thing like.-- i lost my walet--- or i can't aford to eat or take a shower when they just fueled up.Don't get me wrong i will and have helped bums and some drivers but i can't tell you i sometimes felt like i've just ben had.

 

I almosr always give a buck or two to anyone who apperars to me to be truly down on their luck. Not a crack head or a scammer but a person with a real need. There was a guy standing at the end of an off ramp yesterday. We were all lined up waiting for the light to change when I dug a toonie out of my pocket to give this guy as I went past. The guy in front of me slowed down and I could see he gave the guy a 20 dollar bill. Made me feel kinda cheap actually. I'm sure I have been scammed a few times but I really don't care. If half the folks I give to are scammers and the other half are really in need that's ok with me. It's just the cost of doing good deeds. I know that if it was me there with no place to go and nothing to eat it would be nice if some people cared. Giving just a little gives me some satisfaction.

I wonder if this is the same man that is begging in downtown cincy.he was doing this act for about three years.then i never saw him again.guess he found enought gas money to make it to where you are.same line and always dressed up in a blue suit out of the 70's.....LOL

 

Well not to worry. You reap what you sow and if you were scammed by someone you helped then that will fall on them. If you did what you felt you needed to and helped them it will be returned to you down the road. If they scammed you that will also be returned on them down the road. I am the same way I'll help someone f I truly feel that they need it. Some don't even try to look like they need it others you can tell really are down on their luck.
