"Just Another day of fracking" ....You do a specialized step deck work. Some of us do not specialize and don't necessarily want to, thus are glad to take $800 for 12 hour a day work. Say I work 200 -250 days a year and that grosses me up to 200K that's more than I need. Nothing cheap about it for a dry van regional work.

Regional and dedicated is where it's at, there is a quote I heard a few years ago "pigs get fat hogs get slaughtered" now I don't agree with everything he says , but in 2018 when everyone was chasing historically unsustainable rates I locked in some reasonable dedicated rates , and started adding trucks , but we built up our relationships and provided beyond excellent service . Year over year we have doubled our number and as we proved our concept my bank that hates loaning to trucking outfits backed out latest expansion to 8 trucks, this year into the financial crisis.
Truth be told out balance sheet improved as expenses dropped . Some of our contracts even lowered the amount of capacity that they wanted to pay dedicated rates for but guess who was not affected , we treat every day and every load like we need to earn thier business. That my friends is the not so secret sauce not bitc#$ng about brokers money or crying about economic swings . Run your business right treat customers and employees like you would want to be treated and earn the business .

In social media platforms like this, various Constant Learners after listing to a series of Kevin Rutherford shows and his ebooks will come here and tell you what to do. Wanting to overshine you with their wisdom. There is nothing you can do about it either.
Any dude hiding behind Fred Flinston avatar can tell you that someone who does not turn $1500 revenue a day is a #####. They can even copy and paste their spreadsheets to earn credibility too.

Yet somehow, it is too addicting, I am surprised and a little perplexed of my frequent presence here. Before finding this forum, I did not care about social media at all. Maybe that's because of thank yous I get when I try and say something smart. LOL That's a real vanity test. Please don't thank me anymore!

Although, I have to say that I have not been on FB....awhile, quite a few weeks , if not months. There I really want to puke. Just turn the thing off and forget...what the hell do I care what those other Fred Flinstons say about me?
You know...for whatever reason, nobody came up to me and ever told me what a White Volvo I was in real life. I kind of see everyone bidding me "hello" I bid them "hello" back or the opposite way. I wonder what I would do, if they did...I guess, I'd just smile.
Don't thank me now. Don't thank me! Don't thank me!

    Thanked. :D

I don’t do social media either but this forum I visit several times per day. It’s nice seeing what fellow truckers have to say. Otherwise, I’d be totally isolated in my own thoughts.

But you are a credible guy. I mean I can sense that over internet TCP/IP protocol...those 0100111001010100101... somehow resonate your authenticity on my screen. I can take advise from you, if not advise, then I value your opinion. Not that I always agree.
BTW. Thanks for thanking me. I hope to hit 8 000 thanks before the end of 2020.
