I would be asking(telling) the receiver that until the boot ransom is paid that the load will be held in storage and demurage charges will apply.
Booting a truck sitting at a construction site with freight for that site and scheduled for delivery in the morning is just wrong, even if the rest of the parking area is posted.

 

Wouldn't it be interrupting interstate commerce and be a federal crime?

Y'all don't get new plates every year from the IRP office.?
FL gives me a new one every year. I start to remember it around July, but my DOT # ends in 8. So it's a new one every August..
