Hi I have a question if you can orient me
I have recently haul a load of onions on a flatbed. The receiver signed we deliver the 900 bags but that 26% of them were decay cuts, dirty and black mold on internal inspection
Also wrote on BOL unloading deducted from freight and open price full protection
Before I left I was told that the shipper and receiver make an arrangement and it wasn’t truck or hauls fault.
My broker told me he believed I was 100% ok before I left the facility
Send invoices to my factoring company, because of the notes they asked the broker if we were clear for payment which the broker took forever to answer
He answered and said that his costumer( not Broker and neither receiver) said to hold on payment for the truck because a second inspection it was needed to be done
Before I left I was told that the shipper and receiver make an arrangement and it wasn’t truck or hauls fault
Does anyone has experience that can help me out on what to do ?

Sounds like your going to have to get in someone’s ### at the broker and straighten it out.

Have one simple policy.
Take pictures of every load. No matter what it is.
When loading, after securing and tarping.
At the delivery untarp, take pictures.
Always.
After 60 or 90 days and you have been paid, delete the photos.
Here is a tip, make sure they see you taking photos.
You would be surprised how much carp that gets rid of.Speed_Drums, D.Tibbitt and Cat sdp Thank this. -
