Which is better PACCAR MX-13 or a Cummings ISX or a Detroit DD 15. When I say better I mean repair costs, parts availability , dependability , and ease of service out on the road. Any advice is appreciated
Thanks

I’ve owned Detroit’s 60’s in the past and they were great engines, and I’ve driven a truck with a DD15 and it could really pull and growl. How many miles on yours and has it been dependable and reasonable on maintenance costs?truckdriver31 Thanks this.

Don’t look at a Paccar powered truck unless it’s 2016 or newer. That way it has the new style egr and the updated fuel rail and stuff.
Farmtractor9900, Tug Toy, harlycharly55 and 4 others Thank this. -
Every one I know with a PACCAR or a Cummins had a rebuild in the 200-400,000 mile range.
Detroit's mostly minor stuff.
One guy just had to do the main bearings on a 2015.PE_T, mikey747 and truckdriver31 Thank this. -
What years were they? Newer Paccars and x15’s seem to be doing a lot better than their earlier counterparts.PE_T, mikey747 and truckdriver31 Thank this.
