New rubber bushings and j bracket pins/sleeves?
No binding when the hood lowers?
Measure from the bumper to the ground to see if you have a sagged out spring or uneven front air ride. That will cause one side of the hood to stay popped up.

The factory aluminum J bracket and plastic bushing are junk. Automann makes a cheap steel J bracket then I have a local machine shop spin up a brass bushing that replaces the plastic pos. That setup wil last you a lifetime.
I have cross drilled the J bracket bolt for a grease nipple as some people prefer it.spsauerland, spindrift, 062 and 2 others Thank this. -
