It got removed (Was likely a troll) but there was always the post a few years ago. Trainer was complaining he hit something and the same sex trainer "forced" him to have sexual acts to keep his mouth shut on the hit and run.....

I don't think I like where this thread is headed. No pun intended.
-
I think we need to steer it back into a curb.

Maybe it's just a little OCD thing of mine, but curb marks on my tires REALLY irritate me. Considering I pull a 45ft spread around Pittsburgh everyday, you'd think I wouldn't get upset, but I take it as an insult to my ability... especially since I'm on basically the same streets everyday.
I will say I found a work around though... if you watch what you're doing and know your equipment, you can go onto a sidewalk at the opening for pedestrians, and come back off at the one on the next corner.

Repeat this to yourself EVERYTIME you’re in a tight turning or banking etc. “there’s no excuse ever to touch anything with the tractor or trailer” Nobody but you is making that truck move. If you know where your positioning is you won’t hit anything, it’s that simple. If you’re unsure of your surroundings in tight situations, stop the truck, pull the break and get out and look. Reposition as needed. Don’t give a flying, you know what, about what anyone around you thinks. If they have a problem with you going slow in these tight situations, trust me they’ll get over it. The more times you’re in these tight situations and don’t touch anything, the better And better you’ll get at it. Start banging that trailer or tractor into stuff and your career as a truck driver will be very short-lived.SmallPackage, Truckermania, ZVar and 2 others Thank this.

I could not possibly agree more with this. I was also told a long time ago by an old hand, if the room is there, use it. No sense cutting a turn short or scraping a pole or wall when you have another 20 sq ft you could've used.SmallPackage, Coffey, Truckermania and 1 other person Thank this.

I’d take the hit and run charge, man hell with that
