he could then face many civil lawsuits, from the people that watched that video for one of many reasons..

    1) caused that person to have PTSD

    2) caused that person to run screaming and run into a glass door and get all cut up

    3) caused that person to get divorced as that person liked what was seen, and doesn't like the spouse anymore

    4) caused that person to go blind, and no longer work at thier high paying job?

    5) caused that person to puke all over the desk, causing the computer to short circuit and burn his face, and needs 27 plastic surgeries.>???

so you see, him being naked, can cause more harm, than good.....

While I understand the driving force behind "tattletales" in the truck. I would NEVER operate a truck with one installed if I were still an active driver. I swore on my grandmother's grave I would stop doing this when that dang hard stop thing on my QC went off. I put in my notice that day and later was given a truck with a normal QC. I got a bit angry trying to tell a hard head safety critter it was caused by how a truck's brakes behave bobtail and when it has a trailer. It's hard to understand but the braking actions are not the same. I did not put enough pressure to slow down bobtail and finally had to hard stop because of it. I literally had to put that hardhead in my truck and demonstrate this to her in graphic detail.

Lots of companies out there that dont have inward facing cameras. How would you know that they are not watching while you and your wife are having some fun. Or when your sitting on your 5 gallon bucket, lol

It’s your own fault for working for them, stop driving for these douchebag companies so they can either go under or figure out they are the problem, there will never be a camera in the cab of my truck

Is your insurance a million dollars? The bigger the company the bigger the savings when they install this ####. Blame it on the incentives from the insurers.

It's not that simple. If most large carriers were actually paying someone to underwrite their risks? The cost would be so large as to drive most out of business. Most larger carriers self underwrite and use an insurance company to do the admin work. These "tattletales" are there primarily because there are people that do consulting work that advise them to use them as well as the makers themselves extolling the virtues of the products. If you operate a trucking company and some jakeleg shows you how to save 10 million a year by installing a product! You will install that product. Right now there are 2 kinds of people that make a fortune working as consultants. Ex-state troopers etc and safety compliance experts that help a carrier stay in compliance. The bottom line is most of this crap is not insurance driven, some yes, most not quite!

Some of these insurance companies are liable to find out that a video of the driver doing something wrong, being inattentive etc is going to end up costing them some big bucks. I'm sure some scumbag lawyers like the "Hammer" are ready to subpoena those videos to use against their insured..

That's past tense, it's already happened. I know of two cases were videos were subpoenaed in wrongful death lawsuits.

When I think of cameras I think in terms of my daycab, I dont want them watching me because the ONLY purpose of that thing is to hang the driver. They can watch the forward facing camera all they want. I also get sick of the stupid thing flashing red everytime I hit a bump or am operating "off road" on a farm property which my job requires.

Having one of these things installed in a sleeper truck, that also serves as an OTR driver's bedroom is a privacy violation big time
