You shouldn't need a jack to pull those out.

One of those should be located in the cup holder tray. That entire tray pops out out. You could probably turn it upside down and see exactly how they are held in then.

Smoking is bad for you and cigarettes cause cancer. Lol! Don’t stick your finger in the socket son it may shock you.

Dam it. I broke mine trying to take it out. Whatever you do, do not stick any metal objects inside of the cigarette lighter to try to take it out that way. It will blow a fuse, 15A on a Freightliner behind the glovebox.

Anyway, I don’t know exactly how to take it out, but my guess is that you need to lift it up with a flat head screwdriver—just a little bit—to try to see a small tab that you will apparently need to push in with either the screwdriver or perhaps a pick tool. If you do break it, it’s not the end of the world because your new cigarette lighter will also come with a plastic sleeve, which is the one with the tab.

This is all so very complicated. Whatever happened to the days when you pop the dash out, disconnect the two wires and then unscrew the anode from the diode? (12v receptacles are two pieces. The ground [sleeve that unscrews] and the supply [insulated by a cardboard washer in the center of the main body]) You can pick these up at any parts store for $4.99 + tax. If you were handy, you could even add extras if ya needed them.

You guys have a problem with english? The cup says power outlet and not a cigarette lighter place...
Its 12v 10a power outlet and not for cigarette lighter. Cascadia does not have cigarette lighter.

    Rideandrepair Thanks this.
