No, not yet. This was the first diesel of mine to ever wet stack. Havent had a runaway yet either which is almost surprising considering how many old diesel things ive had/have.

I've got a video of us trying to load bank a wet stacked 45 kW genset. She was smoking good at idle. 15% load it was throwing a blowtorch 2 feet out the stack! When we shut it down the bottom of the muffler was white hot. I bet another couple seconds we'd have melted the muffler off! Ended up replacing the exhaust system.

 

Any chance you can post that video? Sounds like itd be quite the sight!

 

I probably shouldn't. The company name is on the genset and my service truck and they asked that we refrain from posting those sort of things on social media.

It did look a lot like this, but with ALOT more smoke!
