It was a pain to get folks to come charge it or sell my the refrigerant. I since went to a stand up a/c powered by a Honda 3000EU. It does well but not as good as the split.

I would go for a roof mount but I have a slight enough curvature on the roof that according the the domestic a/c install would mess up the compressor or might not seal right I guess.

The generator is home made. Kubota single cylinder diesel engine with 4.5 Kw power head driven by timing belt.Plumbed in to fuel tanks so I can stay loooong time on due to 10 oz /hour fuel consumption.

My split AC has been lost refrigerant as well. Reefer was in service and mechanic didn't assembled side doors properly. Just few miles away curb side got open when I did sharp right turn. Copper lines were cut.
After quoting around for repair I decide to fix myself. Ebay bottle of refrigerant, gauge manifold and vacuum pump, new set of pipes was cheaper then any quote. Now I have tools to work on any AC.

Now I'm trying to figure out the best to transport my little gallon gas can..I don't have enough room to put on my catwalk. My trailer just clears the generator with the 5th wheel all the way back. Any suggestions?

I don't know why I didn't think about that must have had a brain fart moment. LOL thank you. Does anyone know the rules of carrying a gas can? Does it have to be empty to transport?

I’m curious about this as well. I believe there is an allowable quantity (5 or 8 gallons?) of gas you can carry, but it has to be in a DOT container. Hopefully somebody will chime in with that valuable internet knowledge that we can take to the bank.
