Maybe you have some insight. Ever installed an external wastegate? In another thread i saw your turbo doesn't really spool til 1500-1600. Same here with S475 1.32.

If i swapped to a 1.15 and added 38mm WG i was told it would flow like a 1.45 and spool quicker. Would i lose any off the top end?

I don't mind the lag since I don't lug it below 1450 usually split it at 1500. She's happy cruising at 1700

 

7.85 mpg for the week loaded both ways avg 35k in the box. Gained a full mpg after getting the timing advanced 3-4°

I don't think so. your internal air temp may give you issues 9n the high side if you have it juiced up to much. But you'll know on the first hard pull.
