You need to take charge if they stretch you beyond your notice. Is there a DOT scale near your home yard-pull in there and put your rig oos

That's the best way. There's no truck stop lawyers involved only signed proof that the truck was returned and in good shape. Good job.

Looks like a Con-way Freight terminal. I've seen quite a few trucks left on our property. I know we had a CFI and a Werner that were there for some time.

Yeah, Werner seems to leave their empty trailers on Con-way yards whether they are needed or not, too. I spent 4 hours in Chicago looking for an empty once, until I found the Con-Way yard up there. I ran into the yard office, asked the guy at the desk if he had spare Werner empty. He said, and I quote "Yes I do, and I would greatly appreciate it if you'd get the ###### thing outta here!" So I hooked up, and off I went with his full blessing. I guess that trailer had been there for awhile.

Unfortunately what you've described applies to a majority of companies in business today, especially the part about DAC services.

OTR Trucking needs employee professional representation in the biggest of ways with OOIDA continuing to do their own thing.

Would like to see the IBT make major inroads into OTR trucking companies. As it stands, we have drivers arguing over who is paid the least, with the least real benefits, most abusive work rules, etc. as though one is some sort of 'patriot' and 'anti communist' for putting up with the complete non sense.:biggrin_2552:
