NC DMV has extended registrations due until August. Does that apply to my IRP plate?

Basically, if your vehicle registration expires between March 1, 2020 and June 2020, you do not have to register your vehicle until August 2020.

It does not extend your next registration period; it just gives you a small grace period.

My question is does this apply to my truck with interstate IRP plates? If my NC truck is DOT'd in Georgia, will GA put me out of service?

Hell, will NC troopers put me out of service?

The DMV website does not mention commercial vehicles specifically. It does say "all vehicles."

    What you guys think?

The IRP offices do not answer or return calls.

Pre-pandemic, they were really great about returning calls. But now I guess they're just slammed.

Did you call the Charlotte office? I have better luck with them. 704-392-2112
Looking at google reviews it looks like the Raliegh office is open.
