As some may remember my truck is for personal use. Tow my 21k fith wheel camper. I singled it. Used rear axle in mid position. I would like to change out axle and add a locker unit for added traction off road. I have not had to be pulled yet but barely got out. So have anyone done this. I searched salavage yards on line and found complete units but no mention of locker.

When I converted my W900A from tandem to single, I just drove to the nearest wrecking yard. We walked the yard until we found an axle that fit my criteria.
I'm not up to speed on axles but if you can post your axle model #, someone might know if you can re-use your existing housing and just replace the carrier and 1 axle shaft.magoo68 Thanks this. -
Many Canadian trucks use 4 way lockers . Maybe you can find one online at a Canadian wrecking yard to get the axle needed .

The axle housing has a slot in it for the locker, its best to buy the complete locker rear/end from used parts place?
AModelCat Thanks this. -
I understand my housing can be used. Have to grind out a place for it.
