It's nice being back at the Home "20" for a long five day weekend. Had to do some maintenance on the TriPac APU today. Three weeks ago I had the APU serviced by the company shop in Grand Meadow. They performed an oil change and replaced the filter. Then they replaced the fuel filter and it started leaking so bad the APU wouldn't start until cranking it a couple of times. Once I got the covers off I found the fuel filter had been installed with the old seal still stuck to the filter head. They gave it the ol' double gasket with the new spin-on fuel filter. Doh!! Fixed that with a new ThermoKing fuel filter. Then, I was looking at the motor and it was covered in oil. Well crap. They over filled the engine by 2 quarts and it was being pushed out of the dipstick tube when the engine was running so I had to drain some oil out of it. Then, whoever the genius is who serviced my unit adjusted the A/C & Alternator belt for me even though I just snugged it up a week before. Only problem was they turned the adjusting turnbuckle the wrong way and put a bunch of slack in the belt and you could hear the serpentine belt slap while the engine was running. I had to go back and readjust the belt. Doh!! Fixed that too. I really don't like having to go back over someone else work.
Good thing though is my next load picks up from J.J. Cane Auctions right here in Waxahachie which is only 2½ miles from my house and it's loading on Monday going to Brighton, CO. Nice and easy.
Tonight is movie night with the wife and our boy. We have a projector that points at a 120" pull-down screen in the living room and we set up a pizza and popcorn picnic and it's officially time to relax. Y'all have a great night and an even better weekend and Happy Father's Day to all of the Dad's out there and that includes all of the real men who have stepped up to be a Father figure in a little boys and little girls life.
