That's just it, I am picky. I've got most of what I want already, so maybe just see it through & figure out how to get another axle on what I've already got.?

I do like this Classic. The style, & the specs are very close to what I'd like to have.

-Very hung up on the Series 60
-Make that a 1999 or older Series 60
    -perfer short legs, 3.70-4.11
-13 speed would be my 1st choice. Sub 80k lbs, not sure an 18 is necessary
    -Flat top

Major issues for me is I don't want an ELD, 03/00 engine, & I thought the price was close too ok. Say $25k, is good, with history & paperwork..

But now thinking $29k is way too much, especially after being picked apart. No offense to anyone, I posted it because I wanted it picked apart to see what I missed. Apparently quite a bit..

So even as you are saying, buying this job at even $25-$26k sounds like a bad move. Not the right price, seeing as it will need everything rebuilt..

I say keep the old fld and lengthen the frame. Set of cut offs or just a tag. Then be on the lookout for a truck that needs some loving for 10k and set it up how you want it

I don’t think you will like your little 11liter as much at 80k lbs. adding a drive axle to what you got will change the dynamics considerably.
You could always put your valve cover on that truck?

Anyone need a job. I'm firing myself for the day. The oil pan that I was painting. I ran out of black paint the other night. Friday I go and get some more. Come home and scuff it to get a few good coats on. Well different brand enamel seemed to react to what was sprayed. 2 cans of aircraft stripper, 1 can of xylen, 1 can of thinner and most of today. We finally have it back to primer. If I could hire a guy that only had to due it once, I'd save money!
