I recently applied with maverick flatbed, currently driving for tmc. The position I applied for said dedicated regional Carolinas, and said primarily runs NC/SC.
My question is, is this accurate, I applied because I want to stay closer to home but not looking for fully local gigs.
Question for any maverick drivers

I left Maverick 2 years ago. At the time regional dedicated runs were being created for customers like Home Depot. It had a different pay structure with home through the house or home every weekend guaranteed driving daycabs. Not my cup of tea, but a good fit for the family man.
-
When I spoke to the recruiter he said he didn't have a dedicated position, but that this was more dedicated to the area I'd be running, which is my more preferred option, I don't want a strictly daycab, just a more central running area
-
Yes, truck companies with solid freight have reached out to do more dedicated options. I would check and see if they offer a dedicated glass option out of Laurinberg . I hope you find a good fit. I'm from TN and was in the Carolinas often, heavy freight in and out of there. Good Luck!
cbake7 Thanks this. -
@Very Metal did you run a certain area or did they run you otr, in the listing for the spot it says "primarily runs NC/SC which is the part I care about...I saw one for TN as well that said runs primarily Memphis, Knoxville, Nashville
-
I'm thinking that it's mostly doing pickups in places like the lumber yard in Pageland SC going to wherever they deliver, like to Ohio, WV, VA, GA, AL, etc.
I have no idea if that would be home daily or just on the weekend. Probably would get to go home once or twice a week and weekends but I don't really know the actual details.
You won't be getting glass dedicated in Laurinburg anymore because Maverick lost the contract to Wylie. -
@TokyoJoe yeah I had heard about maverick losing that contract. Im not looking for a home daily, but the idea of mostly running in NC/SC is appealing..and page land you mean cm tucker, which 90% of the time goes to WV/Ohio at least for tmc It does

Yeah it's that Tucker place. I've only been there 3 times because I'm doing glass.
