Don’t forget one of the most important UPS rules

‘ A green light gives you the opportunity to go, not the right’

Sure doesn’t sound like a seasonal gig if they’re saying you’ll be in the teamsters and have benefits. I’m not aware of any local supplements that provide insurance to seasonals. What part of the country?

I'm in Buffalo NY. The seasonal pay is $30 and hour. Then In January it drops too $21 I guess that's the starting rate for feeder driver

In general, when you dropped to $21 per hour for starting rate, that's when you would get insurance. I don't know what your supplement allows for.

if I'm being honest, I've never heard of a seasonal driver getting insurance, but weird things happen.

I'm just repeating what I was told. Cause I was surprised and asked him twice. He said when it drops to that $21 and is slow they try to get you working enough to keep insurance.

Other question. If the feeder pay rate starts at $21. What are the pay progressions like? Isn't too out like $38 or something

Hourly: 21 to start, 23 at one year, 24 at two years, 28.75 at three years, 38 at four years.

    Mileage: 58, 62, 66, 70 and 86 cpm.

If pulling doubles, you make .50 more per hour, and .02 more cpm.

Idk if it's true. Sister in law husband is a package delivery driver, was saying 100 people are set too retire this year. And 200 by the end of next year. I'm not sure if I believe thats true I guess perfect time to get on

The best time to get on is now. The second best time is tomorrow. Gotta get hired in as soon as possible to start accruing seniority. That goes for any union company.

And hey... I saw you mentioned USF Holland in the OP. I'm not going to bad mouth a company, but I would HEAVILY look into their financial situation.

So true. But some guys are glutton for punishment and will work whatever schedule or hours theyre told for that almighty dollar. Ups banks on that.

The road test is fine. Just do things in a smooth and safe manner and you'll be ok. Make sure you shift those gears as best you can. Dont grind em too much. I did a road test for feeder about a year and a half ago (was a current UPSF employee at the time), and it was a piece of cake.
