I met Jamie and Sammy at Blackjacks during one of the Big Rig Weekends a few years back. Seemed like real decent folks. Sammy's quite a character. Really good to chat with.

 

Most Trinidadians are. Sami is a trini. My wife is half trini.
I knew the owners son of pentictan towing. Quiring used to pull into their yard and disappear into the sleeper for 8 ours a lot. I'm actually finally watching HTH last season off the pvr right now...

 

I'm glad they follow Quiring more in later seasons. The jobs he does are pretty specialized.

 

Its a pretty gangsta industry according to my freind. Nothing like TO. Robbys billed my company $890 to pull the truck I drove 3km to a pullout at 3am.. Quit like turning the key off when the ceramic fuel pump plungers failed. Had a full load. They sent a tandem roll back. I unloaded the trailer 1 unit at a time walking back from the pullout while waiting. Then another towing company to pull the truck and trailer to Edmonton for the low price of 2100.

 

Toronto towing is like organized crime. Didn't they just uncover a bunch of murders and intimidation around Toronto's towing industry?

 

From what I've read its the usual new subjects down there causing the issues. Driving down rates. Kinda like the gravel industry. Everywhere.

 

Off to Torrington CT and picking back up in Elmira later this evening for bean town

 

Where abouts ya going in elmira? I used to be on a steady gig hauling pig iron and drums and rotors into Kennedy Valve. Some nights I'd dump and be out of there in 15 min, sometimes itd be 5 hours. Lol

 

It would take bullets or fire to get me to run like that.
