I was wondering if truckers have any choice on what they transport. I would be glad if I transported food but I would be sad if I had to transport cigarettes, bad magazines, etc.
do Truckers have to transport bad magazines?

Well... they're supposed to be more trustworthy, right?

i'm not sure what you mean by "bad magazines?" Most magazines are pretty bad---time, people, hot rod etc.
MUSTANGGT Thanks this. -
I drive for a strong company with solid business practices and are also family oriented in their treatment of drivers.
We are treated with respect by management at every level. In turn, we are expected to respond in kind and anybody cursing at anybody is subject to dismissal.
The company is a huge contributor to some major charities as well.
But having said that, business is business and we are are not trying to force any morals onto anyone else.
We have some lucrative cigarette and whiskey accounts which put food on my table and money in my 401k.
Anybody who chooses to use those products will do so regardless of who is hauling them. -
Pardon my ignorance here, but I am new to the industry and trying to learn as much as I can. Would trucking companies have any policies in place that would allow a driver to refuse certain loads if they went against his or her personal or religious beliefs?

Most companies utilize forced dispatch... So their policies states "You haul it or your fired"!
