Yeah it's kinda janky, but it's also the only semiauto scattergun in this form factor that is priced reasonably. The pump guns aren't expensive but the only other semiautos (Remington Tac-13) are going for over 2 grand now.

    Transporting Firearms in California
If your ever in California here is some info. You can carry a handgun unloaded and locked in a container. Rifles just need to be unloaded.
And some people thought guns are outlawed in Cali, far from it.

Even many police officers are walking away from
The force now so getting a fire Arm would be a good choice especially if you live in a city

Using slang to differentiate between a handgun and anything else. I like a pump pistol grip Mossburg with short barrel. Don't want to carry my trusty 1911A1. Want to keep in truck for those times I'm parked somewhere sketchy or god forbid I encounter a major interstate being blocked. I have good situational awareness and military experience in a combat environment. I know from experience what I'll do when I draw down on a human being, many will never know that curse and blessing. I travel all states east of the Rockies. I want the least problem with law enforcement if I get pulled over, just trying to line up my P's and Q's.

If any of you go this route, this is an excellent video on how to communicate to an LEO that you have a firearm in your vehicle.

Keep it secure and don't tell them you have it. They aren't just going to search your cab.

If you're worried about being searched or a snooping mechanic finding it follow these simple steps.

    1)Buy interesting sex toys.
2)Toss sex toys in mud. Your'e going for a particular affect while remaining sanitary.
    3)Put firearm in lockbox.
    4)Put lockbox in container.
    5) Put sex toys on top.

There, no one will get near that lock box.

Just in case you ever need to defend yourself it may be a good idea to explain the interesting sex toys to your spouse. Not something you'd want them to find out about later.

Yeah. Unless you're former LEO you do NOT want to tell anyone you carry cross country in your truck. There's no reasonable method to do it legal so just don't tell anyone.

That there is purdy. I like the whipping on the end and the leather strap on the action. Nice oak finish, too.

Lock box is going to be a PITA if you need your piece.
