One other thing you might check.... Make darn sure that the shocks are for sure the right ones for the application. I have seen shock mounts replaced that for whatever reason were not positioned the same as oe. Put upper and lower mounting points closer together and shock will bottom out in alot of cases
Also seen mistakes made in packaging and by parts personnel. Just because they bolt up does not mean they have adequate travel. Talk about rough.... Seen an upper shock mount broke off as a result. -
Where are you jacking the truck up from? If you're jacking it up from the axle beam then you're not really changing the amount of weight the spring is bearing. Thus the shackle angle shouldn't change much, if at all.
Jacking it up from the frame you'd be de-loading the spring, giving it more arc. That should make the shackle sit more vertical. If you're lifting from the frame I would think you should see movement in the bushings as the pins go from supporting the truck to holding the axle beam.pushbroom Thanks this. -
Not to sound stupid but maybe there is too much air in the front tires? Just taking a wild guess here with the air thing. Is this an issue since you bought the truck?
