So what is the tax rate in Canada for someone in the $50 thousand dollar range as a individual

I filed in Michigan last year as an employee . No dependents but we get a $12000 personal deduction exemption off the top for income tax

Deduction Not applicable towards our 6.5. % social security and Medicare tax part that employees pay so we pay that on our full gross as employees.

As a self employed you can deduct you gross down to zero but it affects your future social security benefits

Medicare is only available for when you get over 62 I believe , and only covers a portion of medical costs .

It worked out after my deductions about 21% plus another 3.5 % for Michigan state taxes that I will not pay now that I am back in Florida as Florida has no State income taxes. .

Both states charge 7% percent sales tax.

Property taxes in Michigan are outrageous.

My ex pays $2400 a year on a 100 thousand dollar property up in KrapHole methville wellfare Luther Michigan

In gorgeous Naples Florida a mile from the Gulf she pays $437 a year on her 1/4 million dollar condo

Michigan Suks for taxes , roads , Democrat rule.

Did I mention it has Weather that rivals Canada.
