Very........The best is they dont brake your balls. They give you your work the night before and they leave you alone. Lots of hours and early AM times but I dont care. They could beat me with a baseball bat and I woulnt leave.

I think my propane service experiance was a big help. Although it's nothing to learn, it easy. You need a TWIC card, hazmat, tank and air brakes. They sent me for a DOT phys, I passed, the safety guy had me take him for a ride, I did well. I got the job, yes still there. I also think where you live plays a major part in the hiring process. I live in central NY, they needed a driver in my area bad.

Propane hauling is great...I did it for a year back in the late 90s.

I'd still be doing it, but I moved. I'd go back in a second if the right opportunity came up.

That propane tanker is solid, too. Top heavy but stable. Got stuck going back to the local terminal one night in an ice storm in western NC. I was empty and driving a daycab. Down a pair of 7% grades (albeit slowly), and it never wobbled. That's a heavy piece of equipment behind you.

Only two hoses to deal with, liquid and vapor. And after a bit of experience, you can come pretty close to maxing out your load legally based on the amount you load, as it changes with temperature.

You ever work for big paul or whatever his name is? He hauls fruit right out of the kingston/red hook area, forgot what the company name is, I think it is golden rule trucking, I met him at a family barb-q, he had an awful high opinion of himself

He was an older guy, my dad invited him because he thought I would be interested in working for him and then my dad would get to see more of me, but even if I wanted to(or be able) to move down there, I know all about delivering in Hunts point, the philly fruit market and those type of places and have no interest in doing it for a living again, and just talking to the guy, I got the impression he would be a pain to work for and I am to old and hard headed to put up with that either
