I may, or may not, have logged 15-20 min time to check in and used the rest of the time off duty...

How do u explain an elaborate tarp job takes 15 to 20 mins. Also signing paperwork, throwing straps, getting equipment setup, etc. Any dot man could get ya for that if not careful. Atleast throw a good hour in there if ya dont wanna log the whole thing

In would offer to untarp and retarp the load in from of them if there were any doubts.

Not that that would be an accurate representation, but it should be convincing enough. ;)

Why in the blue F do these companies tarp shingles?! Such a waste of a drivers time. Ok well, shingles are a high theft item, so out of sight, out of mind I guess.

OP always use edge protectors on shingles. If you dont, the strap will cut into the top few layers of the bundle its touching when you tighten them. Same with sheetrock.

How? I decided to take a 2hr break. What I do when off duty is my business. Maybe tarping is how I get my excercise, maybe Im a masochist and I like to tarp for fun. If you're not in violation of the 11/14 clcok on an elog, I don't personally think anyone is gonna have an issue.

Where do you guys get your rubber mats? I’m going to a steel warehouse in Memphis after I drop my current load and if I have to make a cradle then I can’t do it because I don’t have any mats; I told my dispatcher this and how they didn’t have anything at all for me to grab at the terminal I left; guess I just find it annoying how I don’t have everything I need and am having difficulty getting it

On a side note, I just bought a strap winder and I have no idea how to install it or how to use it haha hope there’s instructions in this box

Well hell, no instructions; where’s the best place to install this thing so it’s out the way?

I figured it out finally, but I laughingly have the handle on backwards because I need to use my right hand to wind it lmfao at least this will save me at least 658EB214-26BC-459E-95C3-3D2ADA9E52C0.jpeg 10+ minutes because I’m kinda slow
