Lets see how you feel if somebody breaks into your truck or your home. You'd probably be demanding their head.

Not really. You have to separate your feelings from the facts. I’m not saying it’s easy, but it’s a fair judgement.

Not all families are the picture-perfect, Hallmark family. Say one was to have a falling out with their parents and have had nothing to do with them for years. How can you hold the kids liable in ANY way, shape or form?

Im not sure you really know the "facts". You might want to go check out the FBI crime statistics and learn a little more about crime in the United States. With that we can agree to disagree and now I exit this thread.

I've gotta call BS on that. If you have had zero to do with them for years that's the equal to you being responsible for your neighbour's drunk driving.

that's why i have several guns...

and no, i would not shoot someone in the back, leaving/retreating. as it is, even shooting someone coming towards me, i will be taken away and questioned at the police station, as still a murder took place. the determination of self defense will be found/discovered over shooting someone in the back.

she did a very cowardly act, shooting someone in the back, trying to get away to avoid confrontation.

you cannot compare a business to a home. not now, not ever. 2 different scenarios.

I think it had less to do with the relationship and more to do with the power of attorney though.

power of attorney, you accept the responsibility for the one you are basically, "in control of"
