Renew cdl

    Im in nj. My cdl expires tomorrow june 30th 2020. I went to the dmv two weeks ago to renew but they were closed but had i sign saying they open june 29th. I went today (june 29th) and they were only doing first time driver road testing and wont be open for everything until july 7th. How does this make sense when you cant renew a cdl online? My only options is to have an expired cdl and wait for july 7th?

    you HAVE TO GET ON THE PHONE and talk to them

    there is a possibility that they extended things due to this virus crap.

    Every dmv number i call has a busy tone. trying to get to the cdl unit but cant even get a dial tone to enter the extension lol

    even going in person we get ignored.

    does thier website mention anything of extensions due to the virus?

    Contact a state trooper for your state. Ask them if there is anything they can help you to get it done. The time to make phone calls otherwise is when they first open.

    Here in Maine there is a PDF one gets to print and carry with them

    Make sure you have your updated DOT Physical paperwork and Medical card with you at all times. I would assume if it is dated prior to the expiration date on your license, that would show that you made a good faith effort to renew on time. Good luck!
