Hi have a older model tri pack I turn it on inside cab and after 5seconds it throws Eng code I have already tried flipping the main switch off waited and turned it back on and checked fuse in the unit as well oil and coolant are all good but when I push the reset switch under the bunk it does not pop in I’m out of ideas on what to try

you have a broken ground wire. Take a jumper cable from the engine to frame see if it start. If it does start then its a broken ground wire.

Also to reset or clear code first turn off control box and then shut off engine switch then push reset button in then go out and turn on engine switch the turn on the control unit code should be gone

The ground wire goes from the top of the engine head down the backside of motor to a junction stud at bottom backside of the unit. Also there another ground wire going to the alternator from this stud the fourth goes to the battery. I had the engine main wire ground break twice and the alternator once hope this help.
