cac cleaning solvent and process!!!!

    Can someone lead me in the right direction on what to use and how to properly clean my CAC after a blown turbo on an ISX-15 cummins??????

    Depends on how much oil is in it. I only had about a cup of oil come out of it. I used dawn soap and let it sit a couple hours, then rinsed with it tilted to one side and then tilted the other way and rinse again. I let it dry overnight and used a leaf blower to finish up.

    What part of the turbo came apart? If the cold side impeller disintegrated that can send minute pieces of shrapnel in there and imbed it into the strangest places only to work through later causing another wreck. We usually end up replacing cac if turbo has catastrophic failure.
