My first day is this Monday. I'm not doing a typical orientation, I did all my onboarding stuff on a Friday and Saturday so that I can get in the seat with the city trainer for 5 days and be on my own ASAP. This is where my time with FXF is paying dividends. My TM already mentioned that he doesn't have any concern with me getting into the rhythm of things.

My uniforms will even be here before the week is over for me to start next week as well.

Your money target is certainly attainable. LTL is a M-F gig unless you’re either picking up extra work or linehaul running into Saturday morning or on a less than typical schedule.

Here you go keebler, since I was a June hire, I posted what I made from June to June for my first year there, the number on the bottom of each one is the total gross, came up to like $74,670, just shy of $75,000, this was doing systems and just doing what I was told, never really asked them for anything or try to push them to run me more, a more aggressive or insistent driver could probably pull $80,000 easy on systems. It’s basically a regional position but you could cover home every day linehaul vacations for your home terminal.

Are there systems drivers all over the place or is it a dying position?

I don’t think it’s a dying position especially with all the growth in the northeast. I’m actually surprised we haven’t added at least one at our terminal. We have guys run through our Northeast terminal from the Midwest and the southern states.

    McUzi Thanks this.

Is Saia strict on their 12 months of experience requirement? Do they ever hire new graduates?
