I got OOS and a $200 fine in TX for an underinflated drive tire. No points on my license but who knows how many on PSP. I didn't want to look.
Lucky break?

One of the cameras also look for out of roundness tires. This indicates low psi.
Montana dot scales have 3 cameras/infrared reading your tires.
Roundness, temperature and visual, combined with the weight pad the computer will green or red flag you for a trooper to have a closer inspection. -
First, that scale house is brand new and will likely be open most of the time..
Second, they probably have the new road sensors / scale that can pinpoint a tire low on air or flat. Georgia started using this type of sensor a couple years back if I remember correctly. -
Those infered sensors can also scan for other living beings in a a truck or trailer. I know the ones in Texas can. Same with the check points. Those red lights they got aimed every which way is for that. They can detect by body heat and mass if you got someone or a pet in the sleeper or people in the trailer. Just like the military can see someone in a building from a plane or Apache.

i’m glad indiana doesn’t have that stuff. couldn’t tell you how many times i’ve rolled through the scales with a flat.

Had some thing happen to me in Illinois other day . The wire was completely flat scale master pulls me in says I have a flat and fix it. Road service comes out replaces the tire all they asked was for the receipt and I was on my way down the road, didn’t look at the my logs or ran my license I was outta of there in an hour

I had them catch a flat trailer tire at that same weigh station.

Kentucky I65 NB just past the Tennessee line has that system. You will often see trucks around back getting tire service.
