Ford dealer said they weren't injecting fuel. Cutout test on those 2 had no effect on the engine. The intake manifold has a set of flaps in each bank to control the runner length. One side the shaft broke and caused the flaps to just do whatever they wanted. That threw another misfire code and was the reason for the manifold replacement.

I'll check the exhaust manifolds tomorrow and if nothing I'll just turn up the radio for now

In the 3v 5.4 we ran 15-40 and quieted it down a lot.

They’re all an impossible pain in the butt anymore, but probably the most bitter pill I’ve ever heard of anyone having to swallow aside from the EGR cooler time bomb is having to remove the entire front end and pull the engine just to do a turbo on a Powerjoke.

On those maybe not. I believe it was the 6.4’s that had that problem.

    They were boat anchors anyway.

I have fixed way more on ford and dodge's than anything else. Edit except a Cat. But just my experience.

@AModelCat Sounds like your on the right track. But if you wanna verify coils why not use your multimeter and check resistance threw the coil vs unplugging and guessing.

Next statement is not meant to upset you or anyone. I tell it to myself over and over.

    Keep it simple stupid.

I wish more people would do exactly that.
