That's the same wheel on my uncle's 02 classic. That's a big f'n wheel. Or at least seems like it

    No sweat man..
I spend a decent amount of time in the same little bunk. Even the same black color as well. LoL.

At a quick glance them stinking cab extenders can be really deceiving as well. Make a small bunk look good sized. I'm still trying to explain that one to my woman.! LoL

I forgot to answer. RTO has a .79 overdrive. But my opinion is road tractor with that detroit you will benefit more from having a 13 and splitting the top side vs the bottom. This is my simple minded opinion.

Ok, .79 was my guess. Sweet, should be able to stroll pretty good on tall 24.5, with 3.70's..

Yeah, for what I do the 15 will be a glorified 10speed..

I already foresee the same gappy problem I have now. If I can get out there too see it, & it's not a pile, & they will negotiate I could live with the 15 for awhile.

I probably wouldn't change up my whole operation. I'd still seek out the same light weight freight majority of the time. With 50-100hp more than I have now, I think it'd get the job done..

Ya know, I still don't fully understand the point of the 15..

So yes, deep reduction to get rolling, or lift out of soft ground when heavy yes.. But what's the point if when heavy, you can't split the top to stay in the power.? Is it like the flatlanders heavy haul trans where there no hills to climb..?

When solenoids are unplugged, phasers default to parked position

I threw common sense to the wind and just did it anyways lol. Seemed like the inner one on the left bank might have made a difference. I dunno can you drive across town with them unplugged? I just did it with it idling.

LoL, yep. Just a 36" wide bed.. :D
My bunk is same as the one pictured. For storage, if you look in the corner by the ac vent back there. There is a little pocket type storage area. That's it.! Keep my sunshade & atlas tucked in there. On the higher trim levels I'm guessing, I have seen a small shelf on the back wall, with the elastic mesh. I can only dream! LoL

This is my truck the day I bought it. It's not here now or I'd measure it. I'm thinking the wheel is like 20-22" diameter, & it don't tilt!! I smack my knuckles on the A pillar all the time!! LoL

I guess it depends on how one looks at it. Me, I don't like debt, especially vehicle debt, and I like to be able to fix what breaks myself. Here's a shot of the engine (351) in our '97 Ford F250. Notice the fuel injection is gone. The head on the right bank rotted from the inside out, leaking. When I went to change it, the fuel injector lines basically disintegrated also. Problem is Ford now only stocks parts going back 10 years now, aftermarket doesn't make them, and you're SOL unless you want to change out everything to the tune of about $1k, nope. I picked up a new Edelbrock intake manifold and rebuilt a Holley 4 barrel, and that's what you see there now. It runs better than it did with FI.

This is our other farm pick-up, '75 Ford F250, that's right 45 years young and still runs great, frame steel (US steel) is solid, 300-6, nothing electronic except the ignition module, and that's just plug-n-go. Look at the room under the hood, both my grandson's could hide under there.

You fellas can have the new stuff, me, I'll finish out my time here with old iron...

Well I hope I don't end up biting my tongue but I unplugged both VCT solenoids on the left bank and drove home from the gym. Did a couple torque stalls at each stop light and stop sign. Seems much quieter now. Even seems to idle smoother too. I'll leave 'em unplugged tonight and see how it sounds tomorrow when I pull into the parking lot at work. If its still running good I'm gonna swing by the Ford dealer in Leduc and order up 2 solenoids and a valve cover gasket kit.
