I suppose if a fella wanted to he could put an rv style vent or something on the door to allow you to leave it shut during operation. I definitely like the idea. Something I'd never even thought of.
Summit racing has an aftermarket set designed for the oe manifold.![]()
But like I said early efi was no better than a carb. Bank fired injection fired all 4 injectors per side at the same time so it was not any different than how a carb worked.

That there, which I was too confused about to get a closer picture when he pulled out, is a Schneider sleeper cab pulling a flatbed trailer with a home depot labeled Moffat. What am I missing.... -
I stand corrected. I see they have it now, maybe they did a couple of years ago and I missed it. When I looked, I only recall seeing the whole kit, for the tune of around $1k. This kit doesn't include the necessary pressure regulator though, but I do see they have that too for under $100, getting it all plumbed together is on the mechanic. Good to know options are out there, thanks.
Fuel mileage is about the same, but when starting with the carb setup it's instant, unlike the FI. When I did the swap, I also replaced the leaking fuel tank and all the lines. Also, instead of getting an in-tank pump, I used a low pressure in-line. I would've used a mechanical pump, but no engine port... -

So drove to work today. CEL was on at startup due to VCT solenoids being unplugged. I'll be ###### my stereo stopped working. Plugged them back in when I got to work, reset the light and the stereo started working. Coincidence or is this Ford saying "#### you, no music until you fix your truck!"

When I was at the mine guys used to drive the trucks to destruction. My solution was to remove the radio as it clearly impeded the operators ability to drive safely. I was told I was a very bad man, and they paid me to put radios back in. Here is a wheel bearing driven on until the caliper bracket broke allowing the wheel to fall off. Yes, that is fire extinguisher powder..
