One man in Chattanooga, Tenn., was missing two days after betting onlookers he could swim across a flooded ditch next to his house.

I heard from another news source, the guy in Chattanooga, Tennessee who made a bet that he could swim across a rain swollen creek ... the bet was for FIVE DOLLARS.

Gee, giving up your life for five dollars. What was he thinking?

In some parts of metro Atlanta; the current flood stage is eight feet or more higher than any other historical record of prior floods.

Poor little guy, thats so sad. Will keep "Scooter" and his family in my prayers.

We had a storm that gave us 8" of rain in 5 hours last week, I thought for sure the basement was going to turn into a swimming pool. What a gully washer that was, it is the hardest I can ever remember it raining around here.

CNN is covering a story on the Truckers Chapel in Jackson, Georgia; in a state that is hard hit by the flooding on and around September 23, 3009.

Google "CNN and living" and then you will see the story on the front page of that section.

    Cool...
Quaint little town Jackson. Atlanta got slammed, big time.

Took us 3 hours to get out of Atlanta this morning...I-20 was still closed, the detours were not even marked, we went in circles forever....we finally lucked onto some little by-pass road, that got us around the flooded areas, then back onto I-20.
Wow! Never seen it so bad in that area!
