Without all the tourists around there's a ton of wildlife near the highway in Jasper this year.

I really like it, good power and torque! Really have to watch the gauges, temp gauge will climb if not careful. Wish I could have got a 5 core radiator like came out of it, this one is factory 4 core rated at 500hp from what they told me.

Now you might know more than I do on this. I'm interested in a dimpled core rad. I'm told a 3 core will do what a 4 core will do. My 4 core on my tiny engine you have to keep a eye on.

Anyhow I'm glad to hear it's doing well for you.

I run a 4 row with 14 fins per inch. Never gets over 210 on a hot day pullin heavy. 5 row won't cool any better than a 4 row. Bad thing bout dimple tubes is you may get cavitation cause the pump has to work harder to flow the coolant. Plus if you ever blow a oil cooler you cant rod out the dimple tubes.

Not familiar with the dimpled cores, I’ve heard they are a improvement over the standard version. I just can’t verify that.......

The main idea behind a dimpled tube is to create a small amount of turbulence in the tube. This stops a boundary layer effect in the fluid. Flow rate along the wall of the tube gets to slow, and creates an insulated layer, slowing heat transfer. The turbulence keeps the fluids flow rate relatively constant, improving heat transfer. You will notice as rows are added, the diameter of the tube gets smaller. This is to keep the flow rate through the radiator high enough to effectively transfer heat.

I can't wait to get that mech pump on. Flows 80cc more than the one on there. 550cc. The guy said 550cc on 5.9 he can get 1200hp out of.

    "Sale"Caterpillar Performance S430SX 80mm with 1.45 A/R Non-Wastegated Exhaust For C15,C16 & 3406E 475-850HP

Now with the 1.45ar we can run it slightly retarded and not worry about EGTS. Getting 1000 now pretty quickly. And @jamespmack your right about retarded timing it pulls way better than advanced. And smokes less too.
