I'm trying to figure out with the problem is with my leveling Valve.

The photo shows how much Room there is for adjustment and I'm just guessing it's inch and a 1/2 to 2" that the lever can be adjusted up and down.

When I move it within that range I don't hear any air exhaust and I don't visually see the ride height to change.

Now if I completely pull the rod out and drop the lever all the way down I hear air exhaust and the trailer will go down.

This trailer is also the type that when you lock the brakes the airbags dump.

    Is the leveling valve bad?

Does the other part that dumps the airbags when you lock the brakes could that have any effect on it?

This is how the trailer looks on the complete absolute lowest setting.

Looks like it’s working. You need to find out what the ride height is and where to measure. There’s a protection valve somewhere between the leveling valve and the tank. Some times they go bad.

The problem is it doesn't seem like I can adjust it.

On my tractor when I set the ride height as soon as I go up a little bit or down a little bit it's instant the truck goes up or down.

The trailer has say about 2" that you can adjust it.

To me it seems like it's at about the same height and I don't hear air escaping when I go from the high position to the low position.

If I pull the rod out and I go way below where the adjuster is then I hear it let air out.

I guess I should just buy another valve but I was just curious what anyone thinks about it.

It looks like a decent height, in the lowest setting picture. I’ve never been able to get height specs. Just go with what feels right. And looks right, as far as the air bags. About halfway, maybe a little more that the Tractors air bags.

OK I will try it on the low height on a short load and see how it does.

It should be responsive. Just like the trucks valve. Maybe a little slower, but still should move some with just a little bit of moving. If not, it’s probably bad.

I will check it again tomorrow morning.

The thing is if I pull it out of the adjuster and I pull it all the way down It'll dump the air right out. If I push it up it will raise the trailer right up.

But in the actual range that you have to adjust it I really don't see a lot of difference but I'll check it again tomorrow and see.
