Literally, this time, on some spilled fuel at a fuel island.

It is getting better, slowly. Ribs and knees can take a while to heal.

Picking up liftgates in the morning with stops in Ohio ,PA , then the Bronx followed by Buffalo NY.


Student gonna get done fast if this keeps up.

 

I'm sure Bronx will be loads of fun.

 

I had a nice, easy and fast drop and hook at Costco, and now I'm at the Petro in Fargo.
My next load picks up at 1100 tomorrow and goes right back to Costco in Morris, IL.
It feels like I am running more dedicated Costco these days because they have so many loads, and most are already late when dispatched. This load was scheduled to deliver at 1100 today; I got it there at 1930 - best time.

And I have been burning way too many hours the past few days. I need to slow it down a bit so I don't get stuck doing a 34. I hate that.

 

the saving Grace is that I have a 48-foot trailer which puts me at a shorter total length.

The downside is that my final axle is it 48 feet.

The upside by tractor clearance is 11 foot 6. The downside the gates I'm delivering are going to be at the 13ft 4.

I'll still take the Bronx over queens or Brooklyn. Not going to be fun but it could be a lot worse I don't have to go very far in City to make my delivery but it will be a street delivery.

I have only 4.5 hours available tomorrow so I'm doing a 34 to get everything back.
They tried to pawn off a couple garbage loads on me this evening, the first of which would have taken most of it. The second I could not have done even if I didn't do the first.

I hate 34's almost as much as I hate crap loads.
Maybe more when I get stuck at a terminal that long.

 

My daughter, Leann, finally got back from Italy today.
A 3 month trip turned out to be 7 months because of the virus.

Made the delivery in ohio this morning but the two in PA were already closed by the time we got over here. Will deliver two stops in PA tomorrow. Will attempt to make the Bronx too but im not holding my breath. Currently obsessing over street views to get an idea of my way in.... Only a few turns off the highway so not too bad, but i suspect some supremely slick tricks will be needed for 1st right turn.
