That was a good one. My mom lives on the west end and they got crazy hail and rain. She gave me warning so I had my truck in the pole shed. We just had 1.5" of rain and light show We just don't need anymore rain. I hang out with a few farmers, and man are they whining about the weather...

I miss the heck out of those in the volvo I used to run.

I made some window covers out of that radiant barrier from HD. Cut to fit tight and man does it work to keep light and heat out

Yes, exactly. Plinking, cans, water jugs, soda bottles. I would not be using this for carry. My older sister just bought 15 acres in Floral City. Has a dirt berm/backstop, & enough small pine trees on it to be classified as a farm & property tax exempt. So for $20 for a 500 box of .22lr, loading up 6 rounds at a time, seems like you could get a half days fun out it.. :)

    Cheapest 9mm I can find is about $100 for 500, so $200 for 1,000.
At ~$160 for the .22 wheel gun, & 1,000 rounds, its same price, with a free pistol kinda way of looking at it..

Also, Mom don't like the US climate right now & has been learning to shoot. She's not feeble, but struggles to rack the slide back, especially on the .40 & .45. I think she may also enjoy this, especially the lighter recoil of .22 with 4" barrel vs .40 with 3" barrel.

That's ok, I've been admiring revolvers for a few years now. Think I'm going to snag one of these cheapie's for sheets & giggles. If it leads me down the slope, so be it.! :D

Also any of y'all experience the COP before.? I've wanted one since 1995. My 1st time seeing it was the ending scene of Bad Boys after the car chase on the tarmac. I hear they suck, but still want one just too have it..

So you have to figure out which pulley now. Snapping a serpentine belt isnt exactly an easy task.

Edit: Hope its an idler pulley and not an important one like the water pump seizing.

Yes, I use google maps on my tablet with satellite view mounted on the dash. But, sometimes you still need a trucker atlas. Especially when headed East.

To be safe I picked up the assembly. The serpentine belt the tension pulley and idler pulley. Have a mobile mechanic that's going to do it between 1 and 1:30 today for $100

Currently no, she does not carry. I'm steering her to exercise her right too, but she is strong willed & will do so only when she decides. But, she got her CCW permit along side of me 08/2010 just because she had nothing better to do that weekend.! LoL

I gave her the G17 for now, because it's the lowest recoil & she can rack the slide ok. She struggles a bit to load the magazine too, especially the last 3-4 rounds. She can fully load the Ruger LCP .380., but doesn't like that one. At least she has something in the house to help protect her. I think it'd be more useful out in the real world, not left at home. It's a start..

She's 66, actually handles the pistols pretty dang well, & can pop a 2liter bottle from ~10yard. That's good enough for me, as she shouldn't be shooting an assailant at that range anyhow..

I'd like to get her into a 12 guage pump action for the house..

Not settled on one yet, but I'm thinking a .38 special 5 or 6 shot revolver for her to carry. Like a S&W airweight 642 or Ruger LCR maybe.. There are just so many choices. What do you like for a mom.?
