What is the preferred oil for year around use? Currently using aw 32 for all 4 sessions in the midwest. Running hyd motors, pumps and dump trailers. Is their something better? Would a thicker oil reduce heat in the summer? Just asking?

Thicker oil might actually make it hotter. Resistance to fluid flow makes heat.

It’s 100+ degrees for a couple months a year down here and everyone is running 32 in just about everything. It’s the most common and easiest to find anywhere. Just change it once a year. No problems.
