On a serious note, if the truck has a good clutch in it and you'd float the gears most of the time, you'd probably be ok. In my opinion, it's a fair trade for being home. If it's mostly local type work, how many times a day would you be in and out of the truck and/or trailer? That would take a bigger toll than the clutch I would think.

 

Ha, that's from 35 yrs of marriage....I learn just to go along with the flow of matrimony.

OH OH bimbo talk got me off track.
ANOTHER level gained in the trucker game. A fellow truck driver gave me the bird today! And it wasn't even me who blasted the horn at him lol. I just happened to be passing in the 3rd lane and giving him the "you are seriously a looser" look when a truck behind him lost patience....
He gave me the sweetest smile when I pulled up beside him..u til my face AND the horn simultaneously clarified his lack of good judgment in our eyes lol.
He caught up with me a few miles down the road and blared at me while flicking me off.
Kinda made me smile.
