Hardlyevr, thank you very much! I just got it to go into regen mode by selecting A/C. The amber light(toggle switch light) is now flashing as well as another amber light on a little control box mounted in the sleeper. The APU wouldn't run with the key on and engine running, but the light is flashing so I guess it must be doing a regen. Seems the APU would need to run for it's own regen, but I guess not. *shrugs* The big motor is at an 800RPM idle and seems to be doing ok. Also thought I'd mention...the red light did flash a fault code and it was code 52. I don't know what that stands for, but am posting it for others that may have the same code. Thanks again!

Do you have a separate panel light for the regen needed, that may also show a flashing (red) fault code?

You might want to open the cover on the TriPac to make sure that the shut off switch inside the engine compartment is not in the off position.

If that does not help, try putting the control panel switch on AC, even if the unit won't start, because it definitely will not regen in fan or heat positions.

Hi,I have same problem with my APU,how should I do the regen? Starting main power,then I press APU button,select AC,then I start my truck,pushing regen button and holding 1 min.nothing,it's not starting (rpm1500)

Does the TriPac system with the AC come on and run, before you turn on the truck engine? If it does, and you are holding down the button to start the regen for a while after you have started the truck engine, and it still does nothing, you may have an issue that will have to be checked at the dealership.

The secret that I found out is to have the TriPac unit actually running in AC mode and then start the truck engine, once at highway speed (or at 1100-1200 rpms if you feel like sitting in the parking lot with your foot on the pedal for that long!) hold down the switch to start the regen. It may take as long as 25 or so seconds. Mine is usually around 8.

If the unit had been running in standby mode, or heat mode when the regen light comes on, and you try to do a regen, it will NOT work, no matter how long you hold in the switch! I spent 3 hours at a ThermoKing dealership to find this secret out.

Does your apu shut down after 30 minutes? Thats what mine does then throws code 13 open air relay

Mine never did that, so I am guessing you have something wrong in the system. Mine got to the point where fixing the DPF system would cost too much, so TK removed it an put on a regular muffler.
