Not true in every situation. Bout one truck, one trailer on hand shake and word. Even drove a brand new pickup 4 weeks with no loan paperwork what so ever.
It can be done.Melvin Morrison Thanks this. -
So you just walked into a dealership and walked away with a $150k truck on a handshake?

You are so correct sir. You know exactly what you are talking about

Well going back on poor choices now with her having ownership is kinda mute point.
Moving forward you need to get in a truck yourself first. Second a employee.
Find any company you can lease on. One that covers all expenses for a %. I would not be greedy, your in a bad spot.
What type of freight are you looking to haul. Or what do you have the most experience with.
This is not good situation to be in.Melvin Morrison Thanks this. -

Nope. Bought a used truck from a private seller. Cheap. On my word. My first semi. Bank financed.
I did buy a 38k trailer and call my banker to tell him I wrote a 38k check and it needs covered. I would see him on Tuesday. I didnt have the cash.
I did drive a 31k pickup in 05 for 4 weeks till we got together for the loan. Had title in my name till I gave it to them. Paid for it with a bank check (banks money) . I did not have 31k in my account to be clear.
Find a financial institution and build a reputation with them. Best advise I ever have got. Small to medium size.
Also scattered a engine on a old used truck while making payments. They were hesitant this time. I explained that I always make my obligations. You loan me the money or you now own a truck with a blown motor! If you forclose, plan on getting the house I have financed with you too. I have other properties. Now this move is not for fainthearted.
I had no choice, but it worked out. You negotiate with a bank, not accept.Sirscrapntruckalot Thanks this. -
