With swift we used to be able to just send a freeform message thru the quallcomm , with city and state that ur in and they would reroute u to the nearest fuel stop... nowadays i find myself filling up tanks in the morning or night rather than in middle of the day . Much more efficient and can plan ur day better

    Smut and farmerjohn64 Thank this.

I hear ya, at least I got enough to go to Walmart and resupply for next week; I stupidly forgot to/didn’t know I had to defrost my cooler or else it would freeze up, ruined my last couple pizzas haha oh well I’ve had enough of that, gonna get something better; I’m waiting for 4 pm for securement class to end so that I can practice securing this coil all by myself

Call your dispatcher and ask him to put some "fuel" on your card? Just let them know the low fuel light is on and ask for 50 gallons. You will probably use the last trip number.

Each company has its own quirks on this, good luck.

Yes if you don’t have a current load (load number is your trip number) and you don’t have a fuel solution or you didn’t send one over the Qualcomm, then you can’t fuel. In order to fuel with this company you need a fuel solution, need to be at the exact truck stop it tells you to go to and finally you need your trip number. Apparently in my situation where you’re just idling for the weekend with no load all you gotta do is call the fuel department and they’ll get you a trip number to use/get you 50 gallons of diesel
