have a 2016 Intl Prostar. The start stop has been working perfectly up to about an hour ago. It begins it start sequence but, before starting the truck it stops and there is a rapid clicking like a turn signal coming from the switch.
Any ideas?

Forgive me, but what is the "start stop"?
-
It's the auto start stop. It starts my truck when the batteries get to appx. 12.2 volts. Runs for appx hour and a half then shuts the truck back off till next lie voltage.
-
2016 prostar also..
Shut truck off
Press autostart/stop
Turn on apu on back panel
Truck cranks when voltage is 12.8v 10 minutes after shutting truck off and will remain running.
Help! -
The auto start stop will watch both the oil temp and battery volts. If the battery volts are high enough, chances are the body controller is seeing too low of oil temp due to a bad sensor or circuit problem. The body controller runs the start stop system. It has it's own separate oil temp sensor in the oil pan. If this sensor is broken off or wiring pulled out, it will read -40 degrees all the time and think the engine is cold which is why it never shuts down. Check your oil pan for a temp sensor and make sure it is in good shape.
