Thanks! FFE wouldn't be bad, but one thing I forgot to mention- with all of us in the throes of the pandemic, appointments at the DMV are pushed out MONTHS. I currently have an appointment for Sept 23 to test for the permit. Raider has a relationship where the permit will be tested the week of starting so LOTS of time saved from that perspective. Basically what I'm saying is that FFE needs the permit prior to start. I haven't seen Magnum so will check out now.

Raider only hires out of Texas and 1 other state, regardless if you have license or not according to there recruiter. Sounds pretty stupid.

I agree with that. They go all over the midwest. Why they won't hire from the states they're in all the time doesn't make sense.

    Upinsmoke Thanks this.

Why do all the companies with express in their names all do 62 mph?
    :laughing3:

Raider Express is a good company. Yes I know trucks are slow but we stay busy ... 2500-3000 miles per week ... .38 cpm plus fuel bonus up to .6 cpm. No Contract

    Upinsmoke Thanks this.

Don't worry about the speed of the truck. If you're paid mileage, figure out maximum speed times cents per mile. One should be better than the other.

And...I know nothing about Raider Express, but EVERYTHING I know about CRST is bad.

Heyyo. Very sorry to be late to this thread - didn't get the notification @GreyNewbie
Speed of trucks is only ONE aspect of making money in this business & personally I find it not important atm. Raider Express not only has treated me with respect & the way I would want to be treated - but I'm also making great money. Going to clear 90k - probably 100k.

    Free school
    No contract
    Good equipment
    Easy Lanes

I just can't say enough about the company. I could see myself working here 20 years, Lord's willing.
If you want to work hard, put in an honest day's work - Raider will treat you well.
Again, apologize for showing up late. Let us know what you decide.

Oh, I meant to add - Raider has undergone a significant restructure/reorganization of their school. The new Director really has his #### together & its a pretty well run school for FREE. Crazy.

BigRigMax get them to hire out of the upper midwest states IA, MN & WI. Ask the new director why they don't.
I don't see how you'll clear 90 to 100K though. It still sounds like a good place to work.
